Open Gaming - All Weekend!!- As a group, Milwaukee's D-Company loves Rock-Con, and as life-long miniatures gamers, we understand the need for quality gaming space. Join us all weekend long in the “back corner” of the gaming hall on our tables with terrain for open miniatures gaming.

Bring your armies and your friends, or grab one of our lads for a pickup game and make use of one of our multiple terrain setups for a showdown. We'll have a variety of table setups with terrain appropriate for science fiction or fantasy miniature gaming systems.

The Big Bash ~ running all weekend ~ hosted by Jack Herman of Monkey House Games

This is a role-playing game adventure for the Villains and Vigilantes role-playing game. It is a sequel to the original V&V adventure Crisis At The Crusader Citadel which was also the storyline for the Vilains and Vigilantes comic book. It revisists the never-ending conflict between The Crusaders, the superhero team of Indianapolis and their arch-enemies, The Crushers. Through their long history they have fought over the city, but mostly they fight because they hate each others' guts. This time their fight gets more personal than ever. The players will be listed as play-testers in the adventure when it is published.

Battle of Savo Island The Japanese stage a daring night attack down the slot to strike at the Allied Guadalcanal Invasion force. This battle proved to serve at bloody nose to the Allies. After gaining a tactical victory, the Japanese failed to push through to the invasion fleet for fear of Allied air superiority.

This is a cruiser and destroyer night action. We will be using the Naval Thunder: Battleship Row rules set.

Castles and Crusades

As sellswords, you don't normally do this kind of thing -- act as courier for a local lord. However, you find that you've been tasked with delivery of a package to a location some miles distant and you found you couldn't say no to the job. Your destination is rumored to be dangerous and haunted. Tales tell of a great power that formerly inhabited the region, and the locals claim that some new, malignant presence has taken up residence in the area. This probably won't be an easy delivery task. Oh, and you've been told not to look in the package.

You find yourself pondering several questions. Will you survive? Why were mercenaries such as yourself required for a seemingly simple delivery? What's in the package?

Please bring standard D&D dice. Characters will be provided. If you'd like to create a character, please plan to attend at least 45 minutes before the beginning of the session.

If you're not familiar with Castles and Crusades, it's reminiscent of old school fantasy role play. Similar to 1st edition D&D with some updates for modern play, C&C is quite rules light. Beginners are welcome.

Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space is a roleplaying game set in the universe of the world's longest running science fiction show on TV - the BBC's Doctor Who.

Players of all skill levels are welcome to play, all you will need is a pencil and 2 six-sided dice. Characters will be provided or a player can bring their own character. It is 1976 and the cold war got suddenly hot. As expected major Soviet units have gone for the Fulda gap and are receiving a hot reception form the US 3rd Armored Division. Of course other parts of the front are also attacked all along the Thüringen/Bayern border. One of these is the 1st Brigade 3rd Infantry Division. Elements of the 3rd Armored Cav have slowed up the soviet thrust around Bad Neustadt giving the 1st Brigade time to setup defenses around Hollstadt on the Saale river. Soviet forces in this area are Cat II types but still potent even though this is not the main show. It seems these thrusts are heading down Highway 71 and possibly to take Schweinfurt . . .

In this scenario a mixed patrol of Slammers hovertanks and combat cars need to cross a river during a combat sweep. [Battle of] Savo Island 2:"The Follow through" This is an "what if" scenario that places the Japanese cruiser force that has just surprised and crushed the Allied screening forces near Savo Island against the remaining Allied forces and the Guadalcanal invasion fleet at Tugali. The allies would have been hard pressed to stave off the Japanese Force had they pressed their Initiative. Historically the Japanese commander was not aware that the allied air presence had been so depleted in the previous weeks action that the supporting carriers had be pulled out of the area and were not available to support the Allied invasion force. Castles and Crusades

As sellswords, you don't normally do this kind of thing -- act as courier for a local lord. However, you find that you've been tasked with delivery of a package to a location some miles distant and you found you couldn't say no to the job. Your destination is rumored to be dangerous and haunted. Tales tell of a great power that formerly inhabited the region, and the locals claim that some new, malignant presence has taken up residence in the area. This probably won't be an easy delivery task. Oh, and you've been told not to look in the package.

You find yourself pondering several questions. Will you survive? Why were mercenaries such as yourself required for a seemingly simple delivery? What's in the package?

Please bring standard D&D dice. Characters will be provided. If you'd like to create a character, please plan to attend at least 45 minutes before the beginning of the session.

If you're not familiar with Castles and Crusades, it's reminiscent of old school fantasy role play. Similar to 1st edition D&D with some updates for modern play, C&C is quite rules light. Beginners are welcome.

Join us for our annual Rock-Con Warhammer 40k Big Game. The Forces of Disorder take on the Forces of the Imperium in a Saturday Night Showdown for the bragging rights. Bring a fully painted 2000-2500 point army, (one standard force organization chart and up to one super-heavy vehicle) and take a side in this year’s epic D-Company showdown. Multiple on-table objectives will be in play, with prizes awarded to the top generals.

As a D-Company event, Grudge Match is not for the weak of heart. Expect quick game-play and heavy trash-talking. Strategy is for the simpleton, it takes guts to prevail in this game. The Middle East is in chaos with countries (Egypt, Jordan & Syria) that once were at peace with Israel now attacking them. With this Iran decides to attack Kuwait to get us away from helping Israel. They want control of the Middle East and want to destroy the USA and Israel. With budget cuts to the military and most of the US forces in Israel and Saudi Arabia the forces are limited. The US send part of a force to push back Iran while Iran tries to destroy the US as they march thru Iraq and Kuwait. There are different areas of forces coming thru and the USA work to fight those forces with some Allies.

In Talisman, up to six players assume the roles of hopeful characters–the would-be rulers of the land of Talisman. Each character is unique and has his own strengths, weaknesses, and special powers. To win the game you must journey to the heart of the land’s most perilous region to find the Crown of Command, then use its ancient magic to cast a mighty spell to subdue all your rivals. Your travels will be hard and fraught with danger – and it is in overcoming these dangers that the challenge of the game lies. Only by gradually building up your adventurer’s powers, gathering valuable allies, and winning potent magical items will you stand a chance of surviving the ultimate test that lies beyond the Portal of Power.

The object of the game is to reach the Crown of Command in the centre of the board and then, by casting Command Spells, force the other characters to yield to your might. Characters should first adventure in the Outer and Middle Regions to build up their Strength, Craft, and lives, until they feel they are powerful enough to tackle the Inner Region. They must also first find a Talisman, a rare artifact serving as a magical key, to permit them to enter the Valley of Fire and so reach the Crown of Command.

Stemming the Tide

On December 16th the Russians commenced their attack called “Little Uranus”. With the planned goal of capturing both Kharkov and Rostov, and cutting off Army Group A. Using the forces that had completed the encirclement of Stalingrad (Uranus), Zhukov drove further west. Smashing through the Italian 8th Army, the tanks raced forward. Over running the German rear areas and support troops they failed to find any credible fighting force. Mainstein, now responsible for staving off a disaster of epic proportions has created the 2nd SS Panzer Korps. Newly formed and equipped, under the command of an impetuous and aggressive General Hausser. The two forces are destined to clash and history could be rewritten.

[Battle of] Savo Island 2:"The Follow through" This is an "what if" scenario that places the Japanese cruiser force that has just surprised and crushed the Allied screening forces near Savo Island against the remaining Allied forces and the Guadalcanal invasion fleet at Tugali. The allies would have been hard pressed to stave off the Japanese Force had they pressed their Initiative. Historically the Japanese commander was not aware that the allied air presence had been so depleted in the previous weeks action that the supporting carriers had be pulled out of the area and were not available to support the Allied invasion force.
